Basil tea is recommended for improving the immune system and relieving intestinal problems. It can be made simply with the leaves of the plant or with other ingredients such as lemon, ginger, and cinnamon, which will enhance its effects. So, if you want to keep your mind and body healthy, prepare a cup of tea and enjoy.
1. Simple basil tea
Ingredients
10 basil leaves
2 cups of boiling water
Preparation method
Crush the basil leaves using a pestle;
Meanwhile, boil the water;
Place the crushed leaves on top of the tea water and wait five minutes;
Strain it and you can drink the tea as much as you like.
2. Basil and ginger tea
Ingredients
12 basil leaves
1 liter of water
1 large ginger
Preparation method
Fill a pot with filtered water and bring it to a boil;
Chop some ginger into smaller pieces;
Add the chopped ginger and basil leaves to the water;
Cover and let it boil for five minutes;
Keep the pot covered for a few more minutes;
Pour the tea into a glass container and serve.
3. Basil tea with ginger and lemon
Ingredients
15 basil leaves
1 piece of ginger
2 lemons
Water
Preparation method
Heat the desired amount of water;
Meanwhile, chop or mash the ginger;
Add all the ingredients to the already boiled water;
Cover and wait five minutes;
Strain and serve.
4. Basil, rosemary and mint tea
Ingredients
10 basil leaves
10 mint leaves
Rosemary to taste
Water
Preparation method
Fill half a pot with water;
Place the mint leaves;
Add the basil and rosemary;
Bring to a boil and stir with a spoon;
Once it boils, turn off the heat and let the tea cool for two to three minutes;
Serve in a cup of your choice.
5. Basil and cinnamon tea
Ingredients
8 basil leaves
500 ml of water
2 cinnamon sticks
Preparation method
Add the basil leaves and cinnamon to the water;
Bring to a boil;
Once the water is hot and the tea has darkened in color, turn off the heat.
Let it cool and then serve.
