1. Omega NC900HDC Juicer — Best overall
The Omega NC900HDC is a premium masticating juicer designed to effectively extract juice from wheatgrass and other leafy greens. Its slow, 80 RPM motor prevents heat buildup and oxidation, preserving maximum nutrients and delivering high juice yield with minimal waste.
Made with a durable, BPA-free body and stainless steel parts, it’s built for long-lasting performance. This versatile juicer not only excels at wheatgrass but also handles fruits, vegetables, and even nut butters. Ideal for those serious about juicing, the Omega NC900HDC is also easy to assemble, clean, and operate.
MY REVIEW
I’ve been using the Omega NC900HDC Cold Press Juicer, and it has truly transformed my juice-making experience.
The green juices I create are incredibly tasty, thanks to the combination of celery, kale, chard, parsley, and apples that I run through it. Cleaning is a breeze, and I appreciate how quietly it operates.
I simply chop the celery into four-inch pieces and alternate between softer and harder ingredients, resulting in the most flavorful juices. The minimal amount of solids left behind is hardly noticeable and doesn’t bother me at all.
2. FRETTA Slow Masticating Juicer — Best value
The FRETTA Masticating Slow Juicer features a generous 3-inch wide feeding chute, allowing you to effortlessly juice large fruits and vegetables without extensive preparation.
This design reduces chopping time, leading to less oxidation and better preservation of nutrients. It’s important to note that while the juicer does not automatically remove peels, doing so beforehand can enhance the flavor of your juice. Crafted from BPA-free Tritan material, the juicer prioritizes your health, ensuring a safe juicing experience for you and your family.
Utilizing advanced low-speed cold press technology, it operates at a gentle 80 RPM, maximizing juice extraction while minimizing waste and foam. This method not only enhances the nutritional benefits of your juice but also maintains its delightful flavor, allowing you to savor every sip. Powered by a strong yet quiet 200W DC motor, the juicer efficiently extracts nutrients while operating at low noise levels.
MY REVIEW
First time using the cold pressed and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!
I have a high end regular (centrifugal) juicer and it sits collecting dust now. The pulp comes out much much drier and you get so much more juice with the cold pressed. With the cold press, juice lasts longer when stored. Of course, it has to be stored in the fridge or u may freeze it.
Yes it has a little noise grinding down harder pieces but its still quieter than the reg juicers. They give your a few starter recipes. They say don’t use mango and the reason being is it clogs the mesh quickly. All you have to do is unplug it, remove the pieces and clean the mesh. Put it back together and run it again.
You may have to remove the feed tube as well to not lose the juice bc the juice will back up into it when clogged. If you do mango, do it last. Beets cut into smaller chunks to make it easier on the machine. Overall, a very good product. I’ll give it a 9/10 only due to the small mesh and not knowing the longevity of the machine itself. Everything else is a 10/10. Advice: Buy glass bottles to store the juice when you purchase this juicer.
3. Tribest Greenstar Elite GSE-5000 — Most Powerful
The Tribest Greenstar Elite GSE-5000 is a twin-gear juicer that’s exceptional for wheatgrass and other greens.
Its bio-ceramic, magnetic twin gears produce high juice yield while preserving enzymes and nutrients, giving you nutrient-packed wheatgrass shots. With multiple attachments, it serves as a multi-functional tool for juicing, food processing, and more.
While it requires a higher investment, the quality and versatility make it worthwhile for health-conscious individuals who prioritize nutrient preservation and taste.
MY REVIEW
I bought the Tribest Greenstar GSE-5000 juicer last summer, and it’s still going strong today. I think this is also one of the best juicers in it’s class for under a grand.
As my husband is a landscaper, I wanted a juicer to make use of the apples he frequently comes across, and this juicer has delivered. It makes the best apple cider I’ve ever had, and I rarely buy store-bought apple juice anymore.
The juicer extracts 6 to 8 ounces per apple, depending on size, and while there’s some foam, I can either drink it or strain it out. I’ve also juiced other fruits and veggies, like carrots, and it consistently produces smooth, fresh juice with minimal grit. I typically juice 8 to 10 pounds of carrots at a time, yielding 60 to 70 ounces of juice, which lasts several days in the fridge.
I also purchased the soft fruit knob for oranges, and my husband agrees it makes the best orange juice he’s ever had. Cleaning is manageable if done right away, and while there are some stains, they don’t affect performance. The gears might show some buildup, but that’s not a concern. Overall, this juicer is worth the investment, and I’d buy it again in a heartbeat.

How to Choose the Best Wheatgrass Juicer
Consider Masticating vs. Centrifugal Juicers
Wheatgrass juicers work best when they slowly extract juice to preserve nutrients and yield more juice. Masticating (slow juicers) are ideal for wheatgrass, as they operate at lower speeds, preventing heat buildup that can degrade vitamins. Centrifugal juicers work faster but are less efficient with wheatgrass.
Motor Power and Speed
For electric juicers, aim for a motor that operates around 80 RPM. This speed minimizes oxidation while preserving nutrient quality. Motors should be powerful enough to handle tough greens without overheating or clogging.
Ease of Cleaning
Choose a model with easily removable parts that are dishwasher-safe. This saves time, especially if you juice frequently. Manual juicers, though requiring more effort, usually have fewer parts, making them quick to clean.
Size and Portability
If you’re juicing only at home, an electric model is convenient. However, for portability or travel, a manual wheatgrass juicer like the Lexen GP27 is perfect. Its small size is ideal for easy storage.
