MY REVIEW

Omega J8006HDS Nutrition Center Juicer — Best Commercial Juicers for Restaurants (Reviews) — walfosbrand.com

The Omega J8006HDS Cold Press Juicer has truly impressed me with its performance.

I can confirm that the product is as quiet as advertised; I used it early in the morning in my apartment, and it was barely audible from the other room. The juicer efficiently extracts juice while leaving the pulp remarkably dry, which I repurposed into various recipes like crackers and veggie meatballs, enhancing my meals significantly.

Although I haven’t tried making nut butter or pasta yet, I have no doubt it excels in those areas as well. Cleaning the juicer is straightforward; while it has several components, I found it much easier to manage than my previous centrifugal juicer, as there are minimal crevices for food to get stuck in.

Get ready to have perfect smoothies with this juicer.

That said, I highly recommend doing your homework on the differences between masticating and centrifugal juicers, as well as the nutritional benefits of retaining fiber in your diet.

Understanding the shelf life of juices and researching other brands’ sourcing practices can also be beneficial. Ultimately, the Omega J8006HDS has proven to be the perfect choice for my restaurant juicing needs, and the warranty it offers adds significant value, making the investment worthwhile.

MY REVIEW

Breville 800JEXL Juice Fountain Elite — Best Commercial Juicers for Restaurants (Reviews) — walfosbrand.com

I absolutely love this juicer. I have had it a couple of weeks now and it works great. It is very easy to assemble/disassemble and it is very easy to clean.

They provide a little brush to clean out the fine mesh filter and this works great and takes very little time. It says you can put it in the dishwasher, but I never would. It cleans so quick under tap water that I personally see no need to risk clouding the plastic.

The juicer is very well made and sturdy. The parts are stainless steel. I think this is well worth the upgrade over the less expensive model that is made with plastic parts. The juice made from this is great. It handles hard and medium items really well. Softer items like spinach are a bit of a challenge. You need to roll up leaves tight and sandwich them between harder items to get the best result.

The juice tastes fantastic. It doesn’t heat the juice up so you get all of the nutritional benefit of cold extraction. It does take up a fair bit of counter space and you need lots of overhead clearance to move the food plunger in and out of the chute. But, the juicer is functionally attractive and is not an eyesore. I have had no problem with leaks or clogs. I am glad I chose this model.

MY REVIEW

Kuvings CS600 Whole Slow Juicer with BPA-Free Components, 24 Hour Operation, Easy to Clean, Heavy Duty, Commercial Grade, Stainless Steel — Best Commercial Juicers for Restaurants (Reviews) — walfosbrand.com

I have been using slow juicers for about ten years, starting with Hurom models that served me well until I needed a new one for my son, who began university last year.

After extensive research, I chose the Kuvings CS600, and after a year of use, I can confidently say it was a great decision. When I visited my son, I got to use it and was so impressed that I decided to purchase one for myself. Its ability to juice whole fruits like apples and carrots without any prep work is a standout feature for me.

Cleaning is a breeze; I simply rinse the four parts and use the included brush to remove any residue. I also found a special brush from Hurom particularly useful for cleaning the juice container’s spout. Although I noticed a newer model, the CS700, with a stainless steel container, I am more than satisfied with my choice.

How to Choose the Best Commercial Juicer for Your Restaurant

Selecting the right commercial juicer for your restaurant requires careful consideration of your unique needs, the types of produce you plan to juice, and the operational demands of your kitchen. Here’s a breakdown of key factors to guide your decision:

1. Choose the Right Juicer Type for Your Needs

Commercial juicers come in various types, each suited to specific needs.

  • Centrifugal Juicers: These are known for their speed, making them ideal for high-volume juice production in busy restaurants. Centrifugal juicers are great for hard fruits and vegetables but may not be as effective with leafy greens.
  • Masticating Juicers: Also called cold-press juicers, these offer superior nutrient retention and juice quality. They’re ideal if your restaurant focuses on health-conscious or premium juice offerings, as they handle leafy greens and fibrous produce well. Though they work more slowly, they preserve flavor and nutrients, which is appealing for quality-focused menus.

2. Match the Juicer to Your Produce

Consider the types of fruits and vegetables you plan to juice most frequently:

  • Leafy Greens and Herbs: If you’ll be juicing ingredients like kale, spinach, or wheatgrass, a masticating juicer is the best choice, as it can handle fibrous textures and yield higher juice volumes.
  • Hard Fruits and Vegetables: For carrots, apples, and similar produce, both centrifugal and masticating juicers can perform well. However, if speed is your primary concern, centrifugal juicers can process hard produce more quickly.

3. Prioritize Ease of Cleaning

In a commercial setting, time is of the essence, and ease of cleaning is crucial. Look for juicers with:

  • Dishwasher-Safe Parts: Models with parts that can be safely cleaned in a dishwasher can significantly reduce cleanup time.
  • Quick Disassembly: Some juicers are designed for easy disassembly, allowing for faster cleaning and reassembly. This feature is especially valuable in high-demand kitchens where time saved on maintenance contributes to overall efficiency.

4. Invest in Durability and a Reliable Warranty

Commercial juicers are long-term investments, and durability is essential. When evaluating options, focus on:

  • Sturdy Construction: Juicers made with high-quality, durable materials like stainless steel are better equipped to handle daily use in busy kitchens.
  • Reliable Warranty: A robust warranty not only reflects the manufacturer’s confidence in the product but also provides added security for your investment. Look for warranties that cover several years, as commercial juicers endure heavy use and benefit from extended support.

5. Evaluate Noise Levels

Noise can be a concern, particularly if your juicing station is near customer seating. Masticating juicers tend to operate more quietly than centrifugal models. If minimizing noise is important for customer experience, consider investing in a quieter masticating juicer or models specifically designed for reduced sound.

By carefully evaluating these factors, you can choose a commercial juicer that best supports your restaurant’s unique needs and workflow, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality juice for your customers.
