When summer is approaching, the desire for the beach is almost irresistible! We have already told you about one of the most beautiful and famous islands in the world, which is also just a short flight away: Ibiza . Although we fell a little short when talking about its beaches, so now we are going to remedy that and we are going to tell you which are the best beaches in Ibiza and the most beautiful coves , so that you can make the most of your holidays 🙂

The best beaches in Ibiza and its most beautiful coves

The first piece of advice we give you is to rent a car, a motorbike or even better, rent a boat without a licence (in one of our alternative plans in Ibiza ) so you can get lost in search of the most beautiful places on this island, including beautiful beaches and coves … Because Ibiza may be magical but public transport doesn’t take you everywhere. And of course, take sun cream with you, don’t be irresponsible and put it on often (or you’ll end up looking like a raisin in a few years).

Now, let's take a look at some of the best beaches (and coves) in Ibiza :

1. Serra Cove

This is a charming little cove located in the municipality of Sant Joan de Labritja . Blue waters, fine sand and lots of relaxation await you in this paradise. There are usually plenty of fish here so don't forget your snorkelling goggles !

It is essential to get up early... the cove is not very big and parking can be a problem (also, be careful, if you are not an expert driver, it is better to park at the top as the road down is tricky and manoeuvring can be complicated). There is a small bar where you can have a drink and/or rent sun loungers.

2. Cala Comte, one of the most beautiful coves in Ibiza, without a doubt

This beautiful cove, located near Sant Antoni de Portmany , will steal your heart. You can access it via steps carved into a cliff . Don't miss a sunset from here: it's a magical moment.

There is a small restaurant (expensive, but hey… you are in Ibiza) that rents out sun loungers and parasols for around 10-20€. In short: don’t miss it, as it is one of the best coves in Ibiza.

3. Sa Caleta

If Mars had beaches, they would be like this: large reddish cliffs are the perfect setting for this very small and very special cove. It is also known as Es Bol Nou. It is a small cove so if you want to get a spot… you should get up early!

4. Cala Portinatx, a good option for families with children

You may have to share it with other tourists and travellers, but it is difficult not to fall under its charm. In fact, more than a cove in itself, it is a group of 4 small coves and beaches : the beach of Port de Portinatx, S'arenal Gros, S'arenal Petit and Es Rac.

In all of them you will find crystal-clear waters that will make you want to become a mermaid, at least for a day. And yes, it is a good option for families with children .

5. Salada Cove

A wonderful place! Although it has one drawback: it is always packed with people, at least in high season, of course. It is located in Sant Antoni de Portmany and if you can't find parking nearby, a good idea is to park in the municipal swimming pool area , from where buses often leave to take you to the beach.

The waters are calm and crystal clear . It is without a doubt one of the most beautiful coves in Ibiza. It is also one of the best places on the island to enjoy an unforgettable sunset . Are you going to miss it?

6. Saladeta Cove

A few years ago this cove was a kind of secret mecca, but today, we are sorry to break all your hopes, it is no longer very secret (to say the least). Although it is worth coming here and jumping into the pool, or rather… into the sea! You can walk there from the nearby Cala Salada and do a 2×1 😉

7. Cala Xarraca, another of the most beautiful coves in Ibiza

If you are passionate about diving , Cala Xarraca is your cove: it seems to be one of the best places on the island to experience its underwater world. In summer (like many other coves and beaches in Ibiza) it is usually quite crowded with people, so keep that in mind. There is a small restaurant where you can try various specialties, such as “Bullit de peix”.

8. Benirrás Beach, one of the best beaches in Ibiza

Of course, if we talk about sunsets , we cannot forget Benirrás beach, another of the best beaches in Ibiza. Here, when the sun begins to set, the drums start to sound . Attending this spectacle is one of the things you have to do in Ibiza .

9. Cala Bassa

Many define it as one of the most beautiful coves in Ibiza and they are right: Cala Bassa looks like a natural pool surrounded by pine trees . It is a true paradise! Swimming in its clear waters is a real luxury 🙂

10. Playa d'en Bossa, the best beach in Ibiza if you are looking for fun

We continue our tour of the best beaches in Ibiza and this time, if you are looking for fun , we recommend Playa d'en Bossa: water sports and some of the best clubs on the island, such as "Bora Bora" or "Ushuäia", which will literally make you dance on the beach . It has more than 2km of beach and is the longest in all of Ibiza.

Our advice: if you like partying, come here; if not, look for another quieter (and prettier) beach. There are no more beaches in Ibiza!

11. The Salt Flats

One of the largest sandy beaches in Ibiza , from where you can see Formentera . Here it is not difficult to come across some famous person who, between a selfie and a mojito, swims in the sea like the rest of us common mortals.

12. Cala d'Hort

We end this list of the best beaches in Ibiza and the most beautiful coves with Cala d'Hort, another famous Ibizan place. Here the best thing to do is to swim looking towards the islet of Es Vedrà and, why not, treat yourself to a delicious rice dish in one of the many little restaurants . Come on, one day is one day (then eat tuna sandwiches for the rest of the holiday!).

Obviously there are many, many, many more, but if we tell you everything it's not enough. In any case, we hope to have helped you in your search for the best beaches in Ibiza and its most beautiful coves.
