Today we are going to share our two-day route in Seville , a logical and very nice itinerary to get to know this Andalusian city in the best possible way, without skipping any of the most important things.
Because, although the saying “Seville has a special colour” is often heard, it is not just a slogan. Not at all. Seville is unique, unrepeatable, and has infinite attractions. To make the most of your short visit, you will have to get organised. So follow our two-day itinerary and you will see that you will not regret it.
What to see in 2 days in Seville: day-by-day route
From the most traditional neighborhoods to the most iconic visits, passing through unique viewpoints and boat trips along the Guadalquivir. A weekend trip to Seville offers plenty of options and if you don't want to miss out on any of the essentials, the best thing to do is to follow our itinerary through Seville step by step :
Day 1: Center of Seville

Santa Cruz neighborhood
After breakfast (you have to leave with your batteries fully charged) we will begin our 2-day route through Seville, wandering through the Barrio de Santa Cruz . It is the old Jewish quarter of the city, an immense labyrinth of narrow streets, dotted with typical bars and taverns, craft shops and little squares full of orange trees. Without a doubt, one of the most charming areas of Seville.
It is always advisable to go with your instincts, but try not to miss the following spots: Plaza del Triunfo , Plaza de Santa Marta , Callejón del Agua , Plaza de Santa Cruz , Plaza de las Cruces and Patio de Banderas . Royal Alcazar
From there we will be just a short walk from the Real Alcázar , one of the must-see places in Seville. It is a palace complex that features some of the best examples of Islamic and Mudejar art in the world. Today, it is the oldest active royal residence in Europe (imagine if its walls could talk...) and the best thing is that you can visit it inside! You will pass through rooms full of details such as the Patio de Yeso, the Patio de las Doncellas, the Patio de las Muñecas, the Salón de los Embajadores and, of course, the beautiful Gardens.
To visit the Real Alcazár of Seville you have three options:

- Buy them in advance to avoid any queues on their website (€12.50)
- Book a guided tour with entrance included

Seville Cathedral
In the afternoon, another of the highlights of the trip awaits us: the Cathedral of Seville . A World Heritage Site, the Cathedral of Santa María de la Sede not only boasts a Gothic style that you will fall in love with, but also houses the mortal remains of Christopher Columbus himself (and a few kings of Castile). Although it is clear that the main protagonist here is the emblematic Giralda . Thanks to its height of 104 meters, it offers memorable views of Seville. Are you going to miss them?

Tower of Gold
From there we will head to the banks of the Guadalquivir River, where another of Seville's symbols awaits us: the Torre del Oro . In the past it was part of the walls of Seville, which defended the Real Alcazar, and today you can enter to visit the Naval Museum (3€). Although the truth is that the best way to enjoy it is from the outside... Its name has a rather mysterious origin, but many suggest that it is due to the tiles that covered it and that reflected a golden light.
Viewpoint of the Mushrooms
The last stop of this first day in Seville is quite controversial and that is that we are going to the Mushrooms ! There are those who love them and those who hate them… Mushrooms? Yes, it is the nickname given to the Metropol Parasol, a curious platform made up of parasols, elevated walkways and viewing points, the work of Jürgen Mayer and which is shaped like mushrooms, of course.
They “grow” in the Plaza de la Encarnación and some people find them an aberration and break with the classic style of the neighborhood. The truth is that if you don’t like the modern style, it may not particularly catch your attention. But normally you will love it like we did! Going up costs €5 (for us it is one of the best things to see and do in Seville, especially at sunset).
Curiosity : it holds the record for being the largest wooden structure in the world.

Alameda of Hercules
Time to recharge your batteries again. And for this we recommend the nearby area of Alameda de Hércules , far from the tourist bustle, to be able to soak up the authentic Seville. Some interesting restaurants there are: Blossom Restaurante & Bar , Al Aljibe or Arte y Sabor .

Spain Square
We hope that after yesterday's full day you slept like a baby. Well deserved! Today, our two-day route through Seville is going to be more relaxed, but not boring at all, ok? Take your time to have breakfast and prepare your visits. And the first of them will be one of the most beautiful squares in Seville, Spain, Europe and the whole world... Plaza de España .
The work of the Sevillian artist Aníbal Gonzáles for the Ibero-American Exhibition of 1929 , it has immense dimensions: more than 50,000 m²! The most striking thing is the benches full of tiles that represent all the Spanish provinces. It also has a canal where, by the way, you can sail in little boats. If we had to choose just one place in Seville, it would be this one.
Maria Luisa Urban Park
Right next to Plaza de España is the beautiful Parque Urbano de María Luisa . It's not a bad idea to buy some sandwiches, some drinks and have an improvised picnic here. There's nothing better to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the city than spending a few hours surrounded by greenery, right?
After a well-deserved break, we suggest a different plan: a boat ride through Seville . Walk along the riverbank again to the pier next to the Torre del Oro and get on a small boat to sail the waters of the Guadalquivir River and see Seville from another side. You can reserve your place here .

Triana
The time has finally come to discover a neighbourhood that is full of personality and history: Triana . Synonymous with flamenco, it has a good handful of places to visit, such as the Plaza del Altozano, Calle Betis , the Triana Market or the Capilla de los Marineros (among others).
Although if you can time your visit to coincide with the schedule of one of the free tours of Triana , it is the best way to get to know this legendary neighborhood (it is also free, so leave a tip at the end of the tour).

Flamenco stage
There's nothing better than ending our two-day trip to Seville by enjoying one of the most popular local experiences: visiting a flamenco stage ! Get ready to clap your hands and be thrilled by the music of Spanish guitars and drums, the singing and, of course, the steps of the most famous dance in all of Spain.
There are many flamenco venues in Triana and in general they are all VERY good. The important thing is to reserve a place in advance because, as you can imagine, it is a plan that attracts many tourists (and locals). Here is one with good reviews .
⭐ For dinner, we recommend continuing to explore the tapas bars, which are many and delicious. For example, Blanca Paloma in Triana is great, and you can't leave Seville without trying the croquettes at Casa Ricardo !
